audiences have no time for their tired franchises.

I think audiences are tired of Hollywood taking old franchises and putting females in roles that were meant for a male actor.

They had already tried it with an all female Ghostbusters, it bombed. They did one of those Ocean heist films with an all female cast. I'm not sure how that did; but, I don't think it did as well as the male versions. So, now they do the same with the Men in Black franchise; and, it isn't doing well.

I have to wonder why they just don't come up with a vehicle for women that is original? Is that just too hard to do?

Apparently so. Hollywood is completely bereft of original any original thoughts.

It’s Hollywood’s lack of being able to come up with anything new. It’s all about rebooting older subject matter. I for one could care less about MIB4, heck MIB3 was boring. Come up with something new that is good and the box office will bounce back.

......”Hollywood taking old franchises and putting females in roles that were meant for a male actor”......

And they are hysterical to watch if you can even get past the first 15 minutes.
