I do enjoy Midsommer Murders but I have two nits to pick. One, the new detective character who replaced his cousin is not nearly as likable. Two, with all those limeys getting offed that little hamlet must have a higher murder rate than the south side of Chicago.
I agree about the new detective, and yes, between Midsommer and Oxford with Inspector Morse, small-town England is a very dangerous place.
