Gays have NEVER been truly discriminated against in our country. This is a bogus argument.
Most Americans don’t give a crap what two consenting adults do in their spare time, as long as it’s not continuously thrown in their faces and they’re not called bigots. There’s never been “hate”, either. The left has successfully conflated hate with disagreement.
Lastly, “gay rights” have never really been an issue anywhere. It’s a made-up construct. Most gay couples I know are two professionals with great jobs and are better off financially than most heterosexual couples I know. Marriage was their last bastion and that’s gone now, too.
The Stonewall police raid is a singular event that gay “rights” troublemakers point to as an example of their oppression. They really can’t dig up any others. Every group in America can point to singular, disturbing events — the Waco Twin Peaks shooting could be argued in a similar way by some.
But again with the left, it’s always about pitting people artificially against each other. It’s their source of power and prominence.
It was never about what two consenting adults do behind closed doors. That was the Trojan horse narrative that was used to get us in the current state of affairs.
