Agreed. If there was so much toxic liquor, they’d be reporting dozens of locals dead, not every American who hit the bar.

Quality liquor cost pennies in Dominicana. If it is indeed bootleg liquor where are the poisoned? Fatality is rather extreme outcome to drinking bootleg booze.

That was my impression as well. If it were random caused by bootlegged liquor, some German, Canadian, or Swede would have been nailed.
