Your argument makes sense. If you don't want to see Rapinoe, don't watch her. I also have an issue with the TV stations making this an issue by showing her during the anthem. This would all go away if they just focused on the flag. Which would make too much sense, I guess.
My main issue is hypocrisy. Go to a sporting event and you’ll see drunk idiots buying beer and high-fiving during the anthem. Then they’ll badmouth this soccer player because she only stood silently during the anthem. It must be really nice to have a life where THIS is what you can spend your time kvetching about.

Yes, indeed, some fans do act like idiots during national anthem...I am not happy with those people either.
I am just hoping that athletes representing United States to behave better than some idiotic fans.
I read that TV ratings for this WWC is better than 4 years ago...
I am thinking that majority of people are not bothered by Ms. Rapinoe’s behavior...
I would not be surprised if this WWC has best TV ratings ever...
