Did you know, and I just learned this, but the democrat party stood in the way of womens’ suffrage for 44 years. The Republican party began to agitate for it in 1875 and it wasn’t until the democrat party was absolutely destroyed in the 1918 elections (due to Wilson’s promising to keep us out of the war and then plunging us right in) that the Republicans gained a strong enough hand in the congress to make it happen. ANd yet, they came back.
Interesting.
So the Dem party has always been pedal to the metal evil on every issue.
