This lawnmower has the need for speed.
Honda’s supercharged Mean Mower V2 recently broke the Guinness World Record for being the fastest accelerating lawnmower.
Stunt driver Jess Hawkins took the modified grass cutter from zero to 100 mph in an average of 6.29 seconds on May 6 near Dresden, Germany, the company said Monday. She had to record the same run, in both directions, taking their average acceleration as the official time.

100 mph in 6.29 seconds is only 15.89 mph/second. About 0.8 g.

Impressive but an electric powered mower would have been faster.

Lessee... 1/2 acres is about 220 by 110 feet... should easily be able to cut a 5-foot-wide path, so figure 22 passes... 22 x 220 = 4840 feet... about half a minute to do a lawn...

Yeah, I was going to say less than 1G actual sustained off the top of my head. You can see accelerometer graphs in car magazines, or put a software version on your phone. Also, I think the latest Motor Trend has top fuel output at 11,000 hp (theoretical).
