The thing that irks me here is that Texas law makes what this mom did absolutely legal. Yet the city employees and worse, the police, don’t care about the law and instead just made up and enforced their own law.
Texas law enforcement seems to do the same thing with people who lawfully carry firearms, too.
People get unlawfully stopped for ID checks just because they’re carrying and in some idiot Texas towns people have been threatened at gunpoint by police and even arrested for lawful carry.
Troubling.

Texas says she can’t be required to cover up? ‘”She [the manager] said you need to cover up or leave,” Daugereaux told CNN affiliate KTRK. “She gave me the ultimatum. And I said, ‘Well, you show me in your policy where I need to cover up and I’ll leave.’’ - https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/11/health/texas-breastfeeding-pool-trnd/index.html
Wasn't it Houston police that attacked a drug house that wasn't and gunned down all the inhabitants on a fake affidavit?
Here’s the deal, once you’re on your second child, you pretty much have to feed them wherever the first child is, because you can’t just walk off and leave your older toddler/preschooler unsupervised.
And no, I’m not going to risk a meltdown of either one or both by delaying feeding in order to gather up the older child in order to retreat somewhere “private”.
I did this regularly in the 90’s and never had trouble. What the heck is wrong with people today. Just look away and myob.
She of course shouldn’t have been expelled if what she was doing was legal.
But people shouldn’t always do what’s legal and IMO this is one of those times.
Public pools are family environments, and nursing moms shouldn’t take it upon themselves to demonstrate adult female anatomy to perhaps otherwise sheltered kids.
