My test for a good donut is one that still tastes good right from the box the next morning. KK doesn't even come close to passing that test.

It sounds like you prefer a cake doughnut over a pastry doughnut. It makes no more sense yo attack a pastry doughnut for not tasting as fresh the next day as to attack a five star souffle for not tasting as good the next day.
