Actually my dad who was a lawyer read through the part of the bill that Roberts wrote his decision on and said it was the correct decision. What the republican should have done was immediately react as if it were taxes and insist it be handled in the proper way. Instead they drug their feet and acted “stupidly”.
It was congress who made the error and wrote an improper bill that didn’t conform to legal procedures. Two wrongs would not have made it right If the SCOTUS had turned it down they would have just rewritten it (maybe worse) and there would be no chance to vote it out and replace it.Songbird nixed that first step
