I thought that producers and writers were the ones responsible for the content, and that the directors just...you know, DIRECTED!
With streaming content the public/marketplace can decide if they want to seek out works directed and written by women.
So why haven’t the fan girls listed the names to watch? Who are the innovators? Who are the best?
If they don’t have anything (even a notable short) in their portfolio, they aren’t going to get the call to direct features.
