With a car it is the Faraday Cage effect going on that protects the people inside.

That video is obviously not from Russia. I’ll watch the car crash videos from Russia. A car can flip over and skid 4 feet behind a person and those Russians barely even react.

And then they proceed to calmly continue down the sidewalk without a glance at the wrecked car or the people within.
