I have watched NCIS for years. Liked the group dynamic. I get the feeling her head got quite swollen with her fame. Don’t get me wrong, Abby was a crucial character but so was Kate and then Ziva. They both left and the show was fine. Now, that Abby is gone and the show is still going, well......maybe she expected it to fail without her. I am not saying the dog story did not happen. I don’t know. I do know that Harmon has been around for decades. I would think that if he was not professional or difficult or threatening, that someone else would have corroborated her story.
I was sad that Abby left but it is an ensemble show and things change over time.
I also give Mark Harmon some credit. He doesn’t spout politics (although the show definitely leans left at times) and has been married to his wife for many years. No scandals except this one.

Recently he was reported as having said some things that put him in the same category as AOC.
I like the quirky young woman who took her place. She is youthful without being immature like the Abby character. 40-somethings wearing goth accessories and side ponytails just doesn’t radiate good emotional health.
