He remained in the game until the 7th inning. Now that's an old school baseball player!

“He remained in the game until the 7th inning.”
I’d have to leave the game immediately just hearing about it.

We Mariners fans know the feeling. It's like that watching the team. Every season.
This isn't the league where you sit around and feel sorry for anybody else.
Maybe, but I have a hunch there were a lot of legs crossing in both dugouts. That said, this is why we wear cups, boys. Any questions?
To: Billthedrill
Verlander throws pretty hard. I think maybe he was wearing a cup but the impact of the pitch still caused an injury.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

"Team manager Scott Servais announced that Haniger was placed on the 10-day injured list after sustaining a serious injury during Thursdays game against the Houston Astros. He didnt have a timetable for Haniger's recovery but said he doesnt imagine he's going to be doing anything for a couple weeks.""

What ---- no stretching?

You really feel a story like that if you're a man.
Reminds me of hospital stories where male patients on morphine with balloon catheters get weird dreams and then sleep walk and and ... ... ... ow.

________
Just avoiding the 7th inning stretch.
To: BenLurkin
I think maybe he was wearing a cup but the impact of the pitch still caused an injury. Yeah, it can, now that I think about it because it happened to me a couple of times - the edge gets driven at the right angle. However, I can think of two Mariners players who didn't and paid this exact price: pitcher Jose Paniagua and third baseman Adrian Beltre. Paniagua got smacked by a hard come-backer and the entire stadium groaned.

He might lose it
Good thing hes got another one

I got through 18 seconds of that. Thanks a lot.

I didnt see that
Indeed
My dad was drafted by the Giants in the Tittle era
He played a college final game with a broken ankle all taped up with lidocaine injections and some war and fuzzy pain relief
All American defensive end
Its just how real men played
To win
Most players today are so soft
