I was the CACO in the navy for awhile. Seeing a dead body stays with you. The smell never goes away. At least he was outside, but its still traumatic. Its not understandable unless youve gone through it.
Come on! They were dead! The world doesn’t stop. Assumption of risk-you know?
A few weeks ago, during duties for a new job I just started, we found a dead client in their home. It happens. Had to remind myself that this is the career God led me to and that as all things on this broken world it will never be perfect.
I hear you. 3 years in Funeral Service. Buried a girl I went to high school with. That was weird.
Been though it more than once.
Shut up Pete.
There wouldn’t be a whole lot of smell up there, it never gets above freezing.
Meh, I’ve gotten over seeing dead bodies, it all depends on the individual. At the altitude they’re at, ain’t no smells to worry about.
Seen my share of dead bodies, give it no thought, didn’t bother me, no deep inter reflection, nothing. I was trained for the job, did the job and moved on.
