I wonder how long they stay effective - full distance on a charge and actual full charge - phones and electric tools would indicate that over time, the full charge is not actually achieved and the power fades faster too. I have a 12 year old drill that “on a full charge” will only do about 1/4 the work it used to do before needing an overnight charge...

I think the battery management system on a Tesla is better than your 12 year old drill.

The new cars are rated to million-mile specs.
