I have an old e-mail of a bunch of old time actors (90+) who served during various wars.
How much is true ? I never chased but here goes those that were noted to be there on D-Day:

Art Carney , US Army. Wounded on Normandy beach, D-Day. Limped for the rest of his life.

Charles Durning . US Army. Landed at Normandy on D-Day. Shot multiple times. Awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts. Survived Malmedy Massacre.

Any one interested in the whole list, let me know.

Stylin - Please share with me! Papa always quizzed me on actors’ names as we watched movies. I’m certain he would enjoy my sharing this list with him! Much thanks - lyby
