Nearly one million tickets have been sold for the Women’s World Cup before the start of the tournament on Friday, organisers say.

In the biggest and – Fifa, football’s governing body, hopes – the best Women’s World Cup yet, France play South Korea at the Parc des Princes in the first of 52 games.

The host nation hopes to emulate the success of the men’s team in Russia last year and make history by becoming first country to hold both World Cups at the same time. Among the 24 teams taking part, France are narrow favourites to win the tournament, just ahead of the holders, the USA.

Yes, but unfortunately even some freepers are un-patriotic enough to not only support her, but laud her efforts to disparage America.

Actually, I am more interested in the Cricket World Cup that’s going on now, I’ve totally gotten into the sport since I visited Australia and New Zealand last year, and saw a match for the first time on TV.

I did not laud efforts to disparage America.
You do that fine by blaming the whole American Team.

A lesbian, ... Of course, SI, and the rest of the sheepified sporting press lionizes depravity. Not me. Not you. That’s good.
President Trump says you are a Hater.

And a CLOWN.
And a LOSER.

You pray against the whole USA team because of one or two players you don’t like.
Westboro Baptist Church is that way creepy weirdo-—>

Congratulations France on your successful Opener.

Tomorrow’s first game is Germany vs China.

For the record I am for USA, Germany, France.
In that order.

MMaschin: I'm praying that the US team gets knocked out in the first round! US soccer star Megan Rapinoe says she will 'probably never sing the national anthem again'

I’ll take the time to explain something to you MMaschin.

Rapinoe lost and lost badly.

She was all up in our grill with her kneeling but after one time the US Soccer Organization ruled surprised her with a rule that will ban her for it.

Now what does that mean?

It means that knocking a ball on camera is more important to Rapinoe then taking a stand.

You could laugh in her face about it rather then going all out Westboro Baptist Church.

You are welcome.

Below is from a recent post by me. I'm Westboro?
The nature of sin is selfishness. All sin is selfish and ever selfish act is sinful.

What makes homosexuality sinful is that it is rooted in sexual selfgratification. All sodomy is typically rooted in selfgratification, but it might not always be. Even most heterosexual sex one or both partners are only interested in their own physical joy. Those acts are equally sinful. I believe that some homosexual couples are capable of having non sinful sexual activity, but I think it's rare. But, i also believe most heterosexual activity is also sinful.

Is homosexuality sinful? In most cases - yes? But most times when someone condemns homosexuals of being "sinners" because of their sexual activity are being hypocritical.

I have no idea what your Westboro comment was supposed to mean but I do not have a problem with anyone being gay. And as far anyone associated with that "church" they are the least Christian and most sinful people I can think of.

Rapinoe still describes herself as a "walking protest". The problem is she is using her position on the team representing the Nation, to protest the Nation.

I'm bored of this topic and am moving on.

Don't really care about your recent weird ideas about sex. Fact is someone posted against Rapinoe for being lesbian and your reply was "Yes" and then took a cowardly swipe at me with a lie.

Yes you are Westboro Baptist Church and I showed that very clearly so stop acting(?) stupid.

You blame and pray against the whole USA Team because of a player you don't like, just as Westboro prays against America because of a relative small group of people they don't like.

MMaschin: I'm praying that the US team gets knocked out in the first round! US soccer star Megan Rapinoe says she will 'probably never sing the national anthem again'
Yes you are crazy Westboro.

And for what? Because Rapinoe refuses to sing the national anthem. Oh BOO-HOO! And even though she won't be kneeling the press is going to keep talking about her. Oh more BOO-HOO!

My goodness you are a Colossal Idiot.
Hey Colossal Idiot. How about America pray against all of us other FReepers because you are a Colossal Idiot on FR?

What did these players do? ...etc. Who worked and trained hard to represent USA.

I told you how meaningless your stupidity is and to wave bye-bye after you indicated women's sport is not interesting to you. Instead you trolled me during the opening match of the WC.

Guess you expected it to go well for you, Westboro.
Now wave bye-bye.

Hosts France opened the 2019 Women's World Cup with a brilliant victory over South Korea in front of an overjoyed, sold-out crowd in Paris.

Corinne Diacre's side, among the favourites to win the eighth edition of this competition, produced a breathless performance to take a deserved 3-0 lead at half-time thanks to forward Eugenie Le Sommer's early opener and two headers from towering defender Wendie Renard.

Midfielder Amandine Henry curled in an excellent fourth goal late on, much to the delight of the 45,261 fans inside the Parc des Princes.
