Is the name "X-Men" outdated? Marvel Studios' Executive Vice President of Production Victoria Alonso thinks so. During an interview about Captain Marvel's home video release, Alonso is asked about the future of the X-Men at Disney and goes on an interesting tangent.

"I don't know where the future is going," Alonso told Nuke the Fridge. "Its funny that people call it the X-Men... there's a lot of female superheroes in that X-Men group; I think it's outdated."

Years ago I used to collect Marvel comics, and was a huge fan of them, especially of the X-Men.

Over the last few years, given all the PC crap that’s been injected into the movies, and SF/Fantasy in general (my favorite statement about the PC injection, relabling “Avatar” as “Dances with Smurfs.”

I’m really done with the so-called “Entertainment” industry. I haven’t seen the last few Avengers movies, or Captain Marvel, and while I have the entire Dark Phoenix saga, as well as much earlier X-men, going back to issue 128, I have no interest in seeing the latest X-men movie, nor any of the current crop of Marvel/Disney films.

The SJWs/PC-Police have ruined it for me.

Victoria doesn’t like it. How’d that work out for the lady who wrecked Star Wars. Turns out The Force wasn’t female afterall.

Ron Howard is still mad he had to follow that train wreck.

My favorite scene was Leia doing her best Mary Poppins impersonation and flying back into the airlock, whereupon she goes into a coma until she’s indispensable again.

At least Laura Dern’s character is dead forever.

It’s positively Soviet.

Ahhh, no!

The X-Men were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby at Marvel Comics, though my favorite “version” were by written by Chris Claremont with art by John Byrne.

Singer did some movies.
