I don’t go ANYWHERE without a can of dog spray. Mowing the lawn, whatever. Dogs can run miles, and run very, very fast. They can be six blocks away before anybody knows they jumped the fence. I love dogs more than most people, probably, at this point in my life.
But they need to know their place. And attacking me is not their place. I’m not sure how effective dog spray is against Pit Bulls, “not very” might be my first guess but it’s better than nothing. It does work, at least for several seconds on most dogs.

The dog belonged to a member of the family and was being cared for by the owners of the house where the attack took place.
It was not immediately clear what the victim’s cause of death was, but according to a GoFundMe page set up to assist with funeral costs, Quick suffered a heart attack.
