I did what Tracy Morgan did. I hopped out of my car and banged on the window of the driver who hit my car yelling at him. I am normally a calm rational person but he almost killed me. That car of his is expensive just to have the oil changed. $21,000 yep
Oil change

On May 22, 2019 my 2003 Honda Accord was rear ended by a guy from India. His name Mr Bangalore... <- not kidding.

I was at a stop light on a 2 lane road. Park Granada & Calabasas that on the other side of the intersection narrows to a 1 lane road. A GMC Terrain was ahead of me. Cars stopped in other lane. The Nissan Sentra car driven by who I assumed was a H1B visa holder did not stop. My car was pushed into the SUV damaging their bumper. It was driven by a 18 year kid. His mom's vehicle. Mr Bangalore's car was undamaged. He had a car with Arizona license plates and his license shows a Cupertino, Calif address (where Apple is). He traveled 12,000 miles to hit me.

My Honda had front and rear damage that the insurance company and Caliber Collision declared not worth fixing due to the year plus the $6,087 estimated cost for a car that cost me $8,000 plus tax. I bought a newer 2016 Honda Accord Sport a week ago Tuesday. I put money down and fell victim to a attractive finance women with cleavage who sold me a security system I did not need.... : )

I would not have bought that new of car but I had some cash plus the coming insurance money so half will be paid off. Before my limit was $10k total. The 2016 Honda is really nice. I am embarrassed though that the engine is called "Earth Dreams"....

Review

I have spoken with many people at the 3 insurance companies. I even uploaded photos to a site I have and a letter with the details and contacts so they have my story. They know it is 100% the fault of the guy who hit me. When I get paid I do not know.

My injuries were immediate neck and back of head pain that went away the next day. My chest still hurts where it started out feeling like someone hit me with a baseball bat and some actual shooting pain down the middle to the stomach area. It now feels like someone is sitting on my chest. The other pain has mostly disappeared.

The worst is my eyesight. I had 20/20 and occasionally need 1.5x reading glasses for the work computer. My pc has a much better video card and I do not need the glasses most times unless tired.

I had lasik in 2007. The eyesight is blurry now. Maybe 3 feet ahead it is clearer wearing the glasses but I still have to look the text over to be sure. Closer it is all blur. With the glasses off all blurry except for distance but that is blurry just less so. Nothing sharp. I can read larger print but the eye chart I bought many years ago to check my vision, the letters are not sharp. I am scheduled off next week from work and will be seeing a eye doctor to check this out. The link below does say that I may recover over time. I hope the articles are right.

oil changed. $21,000

Have they not heard of a fender cover/protector?
Also appeared the owner was wearing a belt with a buckle, bad idea.
Do they use an impact for everything?
Just what I want, a re-tapped thread, or helicoil on my $2M ride./NOT.

I would not say too much about the attractive finance lady, that might detract from your affected vision claim?

Good luck with the insurance companies.

My beloved P1800s was creamed in the rear by a drunk, as I sat at a light.
My insurance guy started laughing when he saw the name of the company...Industrial Fire and Casualty Insurance Company.
And said this will be a tough one.
Six or seven trips to court, and in the end I ate it.
