I love Japan! High heels are torture. Why should one gender be forced to wear them? Either everyone wears them by force, or let people choose if they want their beautiful feet bound and placed in a way that hurts their entire spine.

Um, you’re associating the girl’s good looks with her footwear. You could show the same pictures of her, with her wearing either low pretty sandals, cute platforms, or barefoot. You’d not suddenly frown and wrinkle your nose at her.

High heels....aka butt Jacks...aka ankle breakers.

A boot with a 1-2” heel is plenty for me.

Usually wear flats myself, but I grew up working on a farm.

Yep. They should allow women to wear whatever shoe they want. Health is my main reason for this. However, remember that as the United States started to relax standards, we ended up with a sloppy mess that includes wearing pajamas. Take heed Japan.
