I thought the pyramids were all just tombs. But now, the question is, why build a pyramid to house a pump?
And where's the inlet for the water? And where's the outlet? And why did the Egyptians maintain the Nilometer for centuries if they weren't simply relying on the out-of-season flood of the Nile to support their agriculture (and why did they write about doing that, but wrote literally NOTHING about pumps?).
