Back in the 1990s, when the Klintoons were in power, we had a local radio station that had “Threefer Thursday” where they would play three consecutive songs in a row by the same band. They would take your requests.

They never played my request, despite my calling week after week. it was Fleetwood Mac:

Don’t Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)
Over My Head
Sweet Little Lies

Radio stations playing requests — how quaint.

Now you can make a “request” to many on-demand music services and hear any song you want from any era anywhere in th eWorld.

Of course, today’s kids are cheated out of the thrill of hearing “Trevor sends this love song request request out to Alicia” on the radio.
