If you’re going to mod one of these, you might as well go with the bigger wheels and for me personally, I would want the interior modernized with bucket seats, an upgrade dash and modern small wheel. I remember the surfers in SoCal in the ‘60’s going nuts over these on the used market. You probably could have picked them up for a grand or so apiece.

Ugh. I want to be able to slide out the passenger side when parking on the street, without having to crawl over a console. When I was courting the future Mrs. Sivana, I really appreciated the straight front bench seat in my four door '66 Dodge Dart. She could sidle right up next to her future husband.
