Always thought the Dominican Republic was the safe side.
The problem is that it is a side and not a separate island.
as long as you stay on the resort.
Outside its a 3rd world shit hole with all the trimmings!
Well, if you only compare it to Haiti then it is.
We were at Casa De Campo in 88....A beautiful resort...We only ventured to Santo Domingo once...it was nice but the resort was safe,fun and no need to venture elsewhere.....
