Read the entire article. Ends with a thud. The author says the big pharmaceuticals are not interested in curing people's ills. Now that is a hard pill to swallow...along with the worms.

Why? Big pharmaceuticals exist to make money and treating the symptoms of chronic illness is much more lucrative than curing something quickly. Hell, big pharma pretty much invents conditions just to sell medications. If, during a trial, they notice that a potential drug causes the skin on people’s elbows to produce more oils then they hire researchers to classify “chronic dry elbow” as a lifelong disease (irregardless of what the drug was originally created to do).
