The Hatch Act doesn’t apply to Kerry’s contact with Iran. It only applies to employees in the executive branch of government. Kerry no longer is.
You mean the Logan Act!
Unfortunately though almost 200 years old and many “prima facie” violations no one has ever been prosecuted for a Logan Act violation. People have hemmed & hauled & sputtered and threatened the result two feeble attempts.
I say either enforce it or repeal it!
But, we could still whip out the Hatch Act, so to speak.
Just use it to charge Bill Clinton instead.
