Male gators might be more aggressive and territorial during this time of year, given that it’s alligator mating season until about mid-June. The season can also bring the reptiles out of the water and onto land, according to Brett Chism, of Gatorland. Yep - my grand-kids were born in MS and when they went to NY they got some strange looks when they asked their mom if they had to watch out for alligators when swimming in the park they visited...
