I visited an aunt recently who I had not seen in while. Her daughter had adopted a baby. My 80 year old uncle has dementia. Every time he sees the baby he asks, “why is he black?”. The point is my Alabama cousin adopted a black baby for two reasons; the baby needed a home and my cousin could provide it. These are very conservative and very religious people who I envy for their faith, Alabama is not necessarily the racist state it’s made out to be.

Thank you for sharing.

In pro-choice New York, more black babies are aborted than born. How is this not racist? How is this progressive?

Thank you Alabama for pointing the way forward.
