After adopting a cat with ringworm, I was told to wash with Selsun Blue dandruff shampoo. When researching it online, I read that it contains Selenium Sulfide and that it’s effective against fungal skin infections. It might be worth a try.

I had tinea versicolor (TV)...a yeast infection. Used to crop up in the summer, especially after working outside. A previous dermatologist told me to use Selsun Blue. It worked, usually quickly, but didn’t last.
Later in life, I visited another dermatologist for something else, and just happened to ask about TV. She said use “Nizoral”...buy it off the shelf at CVS. It was expensive but knocked the TV out...and has never come back. I’ll use it only very occasionally just too be sure. The stuff worked well for me. It contains Ketoconazole 1%.
Selenium Sulfide
That was recommended by a friend.
I tried it.
The DR. said the over the counter products are NOT effective.
