‘You alright kiddo?’ he says.
‘Yeah,’ Noor replies.
The first officer then directs him to ‘just keep to yourself, keep your mouth shut til you have to say anything to anybody’.

Coverup in progress. I’m surprised the cops didn’t seize the camera footage from the cyclist, or perhaps they didn’t know the cyclist was filming them. We know the cops conveniently said their own body cams were off. Bastards.
Re talking about a traumatic incident right after it occurs, its likely SOP with law enforcement to clam up.
Not to cover things up necessarily, but more likely to prevent emotional, hysterical utterances that may or may not accurately reflect what actually occurred.
Similar to the prudent advice given those involved in a car accident to keep their mouths shut until everyone has calmed down.
I don’t take that the way you do. I take that as solid advice to not talk randomly about what happened. To wait to talk about it with someone representing you or when you have to speak to Internal Affairs. People are often given this advice, even when not law enforcement. The worst thing you can do in a serious situation is start randomly talking about it to other people.
I think there are a lot of questions about this shooting but the officer getting advice not to talk about it is standard advice.
