Agree!!

We had family that owned a hotel, back in the ‘20’s - 30s...they would barter with folks who didn’t have cash, but did have very nice or needed products/goods.

I remember listening to all of the stories, growing up. Fascinating.

I remember my dad being “paid” with a bushel of pears or a dozen farm eggs Bartering was and still is accepted behavior in our rural communities.
