Anyone who doesn’t like dogs is profoundly suspect on general principles.


I can understand someone, who as a child, was mauled by a vicious dog having a valid aversion to all dogs. That said, for an entire religion to be against “man’s best friend”, a title that has been earned for many thousands of years, is as you say profoundly suspect. Perhaps the dogs are aware of something that many are not.

But, I’ll do my best to see that my hound and I will stay as far away from them as possible.

Absolutely, that would be an understandable exception, I simply mean a blanket condemnation or prohibition on dogs in a general sense is pretty strange.
