And there is the obligatory “gay” kiss in the trailer.
No, thank you.

...and the gay kiss, front and center in the trailer.
Would have been excellent if not for that abomination. Just like the tv series.

This show went off the rails when they killed off Matthew after just a few seasons. It was like Friends without Ross.

Why pay movie ticket prices for a TV episode?!

Then again, I’ll wager viewers won’t be treated to scenes with Starbucks cups and water bottles in them....

They had to. Mary and Matthew got boring once they married.

I’d rather have Sandbaggers The Movie but it’s a bit late.

These filmmakers are all becoming programmers. Programing what they want us to think. What to feel. What they want us to accept. Who they want us to love and who they want us to hate.

IMO Downton Abbey was,at its best,truly outstanding. However,I believe that Upstairs/Downstairs was,at its best,better than Downton...truly epic.
As much as I like Downton I won't be seeing the movie either in a theater or on bluray. You can't remake a classic.

Well, you can, but these guys didn’t.

Well, you can, but these guys didnt. Apart from Godfather II name me one sequel/prequel/remake that was anywhere near as good as the original.
To: RightFighter
The actor who played him wanted off the show. Dan Stephens.

All these Avengers movies aren’t doing too badly although I’ve never seen one.

I guess I’m the only one here who would be happy to see the movie, despite the gay kiss. I really enjoyed the series, and the characters (especially the Dowager). There is so much trash that masquerades as entertainment/movies these days, that I’m grateful when something halfway decent comes along.
To: Gay State Conservative
To my mind, The Bird Cage, which I liked even more than La Cage aux Folles.

I haven’t seen a Marvel movie in years. Yup, they’re great BO. But I think they just killed the franchise.
