As for TCM... ugh. Saturdays now they Ava DuVernay as part of The Essentials program, which usually features pretty gold old flicks, but last week and this I skipped.
Last month they had Carl Bernstein co-introducing flicks about journalism.
And I seem to recall seeing ads that Anderson Pooper will also be appearing as a presenter.
Can't they just give us the old classics without this BS? Part of the joy of TCM is that the old flicks are totally un-PC.
It seems TCM has gone down hill badly since Robert Osborne's passing - I sometimes tuned in when he was host just to hear his comments on the upcoming film and then went on to watch something else if I had seen the movie before - now I'm using the mute a lot to get through the first few minutes of drivel before the films begin....
