The ADIZ is most definitely not the same thing as “Alaskan Air Space”.

So is the USA returning the favor and flying B-52 bombers off the coast of Russia?

The Russians should have intense recurring nightmares of Slim Pickens overhead.

[The Russian planes were “positively identified,” the agency wrote.]

Oh, thank goodness. It might have been Mathias Rust in a Cessna 172.

Why send two F-22s? One would have been overkill.

PS Of course I actually do know why they sent two — always have a wingman — but one really would have been overkill. Despite all the talk about others having or developing 5th gen fighters, the only real one in operation is the F22.

Jimmy Carter should just give Alaska over to the Russians.

And Hawaii to the Japanese

A California to India

It's really hard to miss a Tu-95MS Bear bomber. Between the big propeller blades offering a big radar return and the deafening NK-12 turboprops, even World War II-vintage sensing equipment could find such a plane in 2019.

I lost the Evon Olympic Open in ‘82 after slicing my tee shot into the Bearing Sea.

Twice.

So did the bears come into our air space or not?

U.S. fighter planes intercepted Russian bombers and fighters that entered Alaska’s airspace on May 20, said the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on May 21.

As a result, the Russian aircraft remained in international airspace.

“entered Alaska’s airspace,” or “remained in international airspace,” WHICH?

Sounds like we’re playing cat and mouse again. Wonder why that F-16 that played lawn dart in California was hot when it went in?
