Here is a male House Finch I photographed at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge with my new digital SLR. Still have a ways to go to really get good with this camera.

Not bad...I can see you have the electronic zoom turned up pretty high for that House Finch, but...how else you going to get a close up like that without the expensive lens????

Butterflies, are cool, though...they let you walk right up...:)
