Watched about 3 or 4 hours total of the whole series, but I started reading the books in 1999. I suspected back then that Jon was a Targeryon. Lot of clues in book 1 from Ned’s POV chapters.

I tried the show but just couldn’t get into season 1 after I’d already read the books. Read spoilers here and there over the years and I lost interest in the whole thing when it took him 5 years to write Feast. That’s the last book I read from the series.

For anyone complaining about how it ended the only one to blame is George RR Martin. I think he’s completely lost on how to end the books. Excluding a few related side projects, he’s only written one entry over the last 14 years. If the book series is ever completed I doubt it ends the same way.

Books are always better than the movies. I think that is because imagination trumps special effects.
