Exactly, I went laser years ago.. Yes the Toner carts aren’t cheap, but they last me YEARS... where the inkjet carts, even the XL’s run out in a few months at most, and I don’t print all that much.

InkJets are a scam... folks just see the $30 or $50 price tag, not realizing they are going to get nailed for that much or more every few months for ink....

Go buy the 120-150 Laser printer... toner carts print far more per replacement, even with the higher replacement cost, the cost per page is FAR FAR less... and better quality printing too.

I got a Brother BnW laser on my son's recommend. It is fast and seems flawless. The cartridges on Amazon are surely much cheaper to use than even the 'pirate' ink carts. I will add a color laser in a bit.
I thought about getting one of the Epsons with refillable ink reservoirs but Only one of my many inkjets got through more than one replacement color and three BnW carts before it died. I don't see any benefit in not having to replace cartridges on a machine that lasts only through a couple of them anyway.

After retirement, I took a beer money job at WalMart as a night stocker. I happened to be in the electronics department when a woman came up and asked where the printers were. I showed her and went on my way. A little later I came back and she was talking with two WalMart suits. As I walked by, she asked me what I thought of an XYZ printer (I think the suits were pushing it).

I told her it was OK, but to check out the refill cartridge prices before buying it. The suits glared at me. I went on with my work and 15 minutes later I saw her leave the store - without the printer.
