Busy Philipps defends the rights of 'women and their doctors' while addressing her own abortion at age 15 as she discussed new law
She's never afraid to speak her truth.
And Busy Philipps defended the rights of 'women and their doctors' during an episode of her late night talk show on Tuesday night.
The 39-year-old actress decried the new controversial law in Georgia which prohibits doctors from performing abortions after they can detect 'fetal cardiac activity,' which occurs at about six weeks into a pregnancy.
The statistic is that one in four women will have an abortion before age 45,' she said. 'That statistic sometimes surprises people, and maybe you're sitting there thinking, "I don't know a woman who would have an abortion." Well, you know me.'
She added that the new law would 'put more women at risk' as they would now have to seek out dangerous or illegal forms of reproductive health measures.
I know that people feel very strongly about abortion, but let me just say this: Women and their doctors are in the best position to make informed decisions about what is best for them,' she said. 'Nobody else ... Nobody.'
Last year, Busy revealed she turned to the Pope for advice during a school trip after she had an abortion at the age of 15.

The article doesn’t say anything about what she might have heard from Pope John Paul II. Kids on a school trip to Rome don’t get to speak one-on-one with the Pope. I suppose that if she shouted, “I had an abortion!” as he went into a general audience, the Pope might have replied, “God is merciful,” or something to that effect.
She should have gotten a tubal ligation if she savors unprotected sex so much.
Even with all those moles she is hot...
Unless it is GOD'S truth, it ain't the truth.
Busy Phillips?????
“Women and their doctors are in the best position to make informed decisions about what is best for them”
How about “Murderers and their accomplices are in the best position to make informed decisions about what is best for them”?
It all boils down to when, in development, we become human beings. Everything else is noise and distraction. Killing a human being for convenience or comfort or profit or pleasure is murder.
I wonder how many actresses have been pressured to get an abortion under threat of losing a job.
They keep using the term doctor, without acknowledging that abortion doctors are usually the dregs of the medical world. A serious medical professional is in the business of saving lives, not taking them.
Ive known plenty of women who have had abortions. The most common reason any of them had for the abortions is that they had unprotected sex since they figured it would be easy to get an abortion. A couple of women had abortions to save their lives (tubal pregnancies), but they are definitely the minority.
This is a key point
women who are subject to their impulses of licentiousness
will be much more likely to make mistakes in that manner that
if they know that they canjust kill the baby
Not one of these “starlets” had an abortion because of rape nor incest.
Just because they were the “sex toy” or “sperm receptacle” of the moment.
The Playboy Philosophy in full effect.
Dumb women. Really dumb.
Once a women can Sue her doctor for Abortion Stress Syndrome (ASS), the baby murder will end.
Like, "in the full sense of the word"?
Maybe for some people, never?
Tagline
Removal of a tubal pregnancy is not, morally or legally, an abortion—— and never has been.
This is an excellent idea. Bring the whole Abortion Industrial Complex down with liability lawsuits.
She'll be real hot come Judgement Day.
This dumb Alabama law is really motivating the left and many women. The Georgia law made sense, and could have been used to push the Overton Window on “when is a child considered ‘alive.” But Alabama wrecked all that and will only harm Trump and the GOP in 2020, imho.
