Not a new phenomenon. It was first seen in the Bible, in an event that we call the Plague of Locusts. Yes, seriously - these people are as brainless as locusts, and once they’re done destroying an area (like NYC) because they help to elect liberals who destroy it in the name of being fair, nice, etc. They learn nothing, but then flee (either because of confiscatory taxes or, like my aunt’s family, because of lousy/violent schools) to another place...and then continue to vote the same way, utterly oblivious to the fact that the very same set of ideas and votes had just ruined their original home and would do the same in their new home.
