I am allergic to penicillin, so are my 2 son’s and my mom. I can eat blue cheese occasionally, if the first bite tingles my tongue I can’t eat it that day. But I can never eat Roquefort and Gorgonzola. I was at one place that said blue cheese on the menu, they lied it was Roquefort and with the first bit my lips swelled to touch my nose and chin, then my cheeks, then my eyes starting closing shut with the swelling. EPIpen to the rescue. My mom is the same as me, but both boy’s can’t eat even blue cheese occasionally.
Yikes!
and welcome!
Roquefort is a type of blue cheese. They weren’t lying, just not as specific as they might have been (if they knew it was Roquefort).

Now that I think of it, that makes sense. I’d forgotten the science behind penicillin.
