Must take issue with one caption about the cat on the desk. When our senior cat was a kitten, my husband called me at work, exclaiming, “She trashed my entire office!” He’s not a mendacious person but it was difficult to believe that such a teensy kitten could cause a lot of damage. I still have the pictures.

“I can’t have nice things, I have a cat” is certainly true at our place. Lovable, but naughty. They especially like knocking over full glasses of water, and my living room always has a towel on the floor somewhere soaking it up.I've never understood cats' near universal fascination with gravity, and the continual need to test it!
But it's hilarious to watch, as long as it's not your stuff they're knocking over. Thank goodness for YouTube!

Cats are experts at getting attention. They only have to do something once to learn that it receives your undivided notice; and since they also have no shame, they don’t care about the nature of that attention.
