Water levels along Lake Dunlap were decreasing all day Tuesday. This came after a spillway gate failed, causing water to push out of the gates and out of the lake, according to the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority.
GBRA released new video Wednesday, which captured the "precise moment the middle gate collapsed resulting in the dewatering of Lake Dunlap."

Just... Dam.
I think there is a technical meaning of “dewatering”, having to do with drying out soil that has groundwater in it, but the word here was “draining”.

If the lake drains completely, there may be a great opportunity to pick up a lot of firearms lost in tragic canoe accidents over the years.
