On PBSs Amanpour and Company Tuesday night, actor Kelsey Grammer made some surprising statements youd be hard-pressed to find anyone in Hollywood admit: that they are conservative and support what President Trump is doing in Washington.

Washington...comedy or tragedy?
“GRAMMER: Oh yeah. I dont think Washington didn’t do us any favors for the last 50, 60 years, I think theyve all been sort of the same party, the same bunch of clowns, the same bunch of really unpleasant people.
AMANPOUR: It’s politics. “
We know amanpour is off now we know why. Politicians get a by because they are “politicians”? Isn’t there someone else we can elect?
He’s got plenty of “FU Money”
It should not be shocking.
He was even part of an effort to launch a conservative cable channel a few years back.
I have never participated in so-called exit polls. I thought our system was based on the secret ballot.
Not surprised to see you on this thread.
We binge watch your show daily with mom. I could probably quote the scripts on some episodes. One of the wittiest shows ever produced.
We did and the establishment has been besides itself ever since.
We have used their punchlines so often I can’t count them.
Hope all is well with you, Yaelle.
“Kelley has been a conservative for decades.”
IIRC, he was raised by his grandparents after his own parents were killed. Grandpa, I think, was military, so KG was raised in that environment. (I could be wrong about all of this; just something from my memory.)
Maybe this is the reason they cancelled BOSS.
His views were not correct.
I saw a clip his ex—wife defending Kavanaugh much to the shock and disgust of her Hollywood friends.
A kind genius with a tragic past.
The things criminals did to his sister is just hair-raising, horrifying.
This is a really courageous actor.
His younger sister Karen was kidnapped by a mass-murderer and tortured over the course of DAYS, finally murdered.
The past this man had to surmount to rise to the top of Hollywood is just amazing.

I have the first several years on VHS tape and have watched each episode many times. Loved the show.
Both. Comedy in its plots etc. tragedy for us the people they were supposed to serve
Kelsey Grammer, I read somewhere that he and Ted Danson used to disagree on Global Warming. I guess Kelsey was right.
I suspect Kelsey never wore blackface, neither.
Nice summary & commentary. The silent majority surprised the chosen one
Lets hope there are more to ensure 4 more years.
He has been vocal before about his conservatism, but I think this is the first time he has spoken in support of Trump.
The show was ended early, but he is great in The Boss.
