I think there were some insights I may not have heard stated exactly as done here. If I have time I will post them in this discussion.

Step 1: Get the liberal to agree that relativism is the basis of their point of view (this is the tricky part, as they may be unaware of the real basis of their own views and just parroting what other people around them say)
Step 2: Demonstrate that relativism is a self-refuting position. Relativism posits “There is no absolute truth”, yet that is a claim that purports to be an absolute truth, thus the claim cannot be true.
Step 3: Prepare to be disappointed, since most people will still prefer the consequences of cognitive dissonance to admitting they were wrong.

Thanks ShadowAce. I would submit that this ailment has spread past just "liberals" (I personally despise the left for perverting that term!). Just today I have been called a "PC revisionist", a leftist, and (inscrutably) "Yankeefa".

Because I hold a different opinion from them.
