Is it just me, or has there been a lot of plane crashes lately?
Towstrap, jumper cables, insulated coveralls gloves and cap, heated packs, highway flares, pistol, duct tape.
Blankets, extra coats, flares, flashlights, water, matches food ( granola bars and the like) and a weather radio, kept in the car year round in a rubbermaid bin. we lived 30 miles south of Fairbanks and if you get stranded when it’s -40 to -50 below zero it doesn’t take long to die.. and the ice fog makes it hard to see anyone who might be stranded.
Thanks for the info. Sounds like the jetstream has dropped way South,, we stand to get all the rain the next couple weeks here on the West Coast so enjoy your sunshine and fair weather.
“Both planes are great planes.”
I did some wrenching on both of them as well as their big brother, the DHC-4 Caribou, while I was in the Army. Tough birds, all of them.
