Yeah, the last coffee beans I looked at all had a little vuh-jj on the side.
I must be a real neanderthal...I like Maxwell House and Folgers. Whichever one is on sale.
Who the hell would even think of trying that? Somebody had to be the first to try it. What were they thinking???
$75 a cup? How does that compare with Tasters’ Choice Instant? Probably about the same in taste, and much less expensive. Let’s have a blind-folded taste test: I’ll bring the Tasters’ Choice; you bring the other stuff!
soo poop breath, how did it taste? Lol- j/k
“Oh, look! There’s a pile of poop. I think I’ll try making coffee from it.” Seriously?
I’m going to stick to the gast station cup.
I’m not sure I could even take a sip of a coffee made from weasel poop. Even an exotic weasel type critter in Indonesia.
California does seem to populated with people stupid enough to pay that much for a cup of coffee. I wish I’d thought of that.
I eat store bought coffee beans and recover them later to make my own poor man’s civet cat coffee. It’s really not that good...
Maybe we could make some extra bucks processing coffee for stupid people.
At a $1/cup, McDonald’s coffee still probably tastes better....
[ Only it cant digest the stone (the coffee bean) and craps them out, its anal glands imparting an elusive musky smoothness to the resultant roasted coffee.]
That coffee tastes like sh*t.... LITERALLY!!
you forgot the fair trade proviso as well.
Yes, but they’re not “fair trade.”
I've been suckin' down diet soft drinks for years, but have also added in the much cheaper bottled water. This doesn't imply that *all* bottled water is cheap, but as PTB said, there's a sucker born every minute, and two born to take him.
Robusta beans are used in cheap coffee as well as instant coffee.
So maybe that's what they bought.
Any way, the spin on kopi luwak is that wild civets only eat the ripe cherries, ergo, the beans are at the peak of flavor.
Then add in the ride down the digestive tract...and it's the spoor that bean retrievers go looking for.
Oh, and since the beans draw such a premium, "entrepeneurs" cage the civets, and feed them what the heck cherries are available, ripe, or not so ripe, further devaluing the "product".
14 seconds.
