They might call themselves liberals/progressives, but I doubt most of them even know what those words mean. What’s happening here is that the country is being run by LOUD, STUPID people with lots of time on their hands who believe every story the Democrats plant in the mainstream media, and every meme they see on Facebook — especially the anti-Trump ones.
We shouldn’t give them credit by calling them “liberal” or “progressive” or any term that gives them legitimacy. They are STUPID sheep, usually smug and self-righteous and completely ignorant of history. They hear about some incident that happened a century or two centuries ago and start squawking like it happened yesterday. They have no concept that Americans learned and moved on from those old attitudes.
It brings to mind Booker T. Washington’s quote: “There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.”
Rousing up various splinter groups while deteriorating ACTUAL education seems to be working well for the Democrats. A STUPID, easily-led population is PRECISELY what they want and need.
